Standing On the Edge...

{Dead tired but SCRAP Happy!}

I really should be prepping for class in the morning and paying bills but there is so much happening in the scrap world that I just need to take a moment and share!

Today the July kit from the ScrapRoom was revealed!  Check out the colorful scrappy goodness! 

I already posted a couple of layouts I created with this kit.  Here are a couple of others and some cards too.  The fourth kit is my recipe kit for the month and it will be posted soon!

The cyber crop at TallyScrappers is wrapping up but there are some awesome challenges and most of the run through the 17th of June so stop by and check them out!  Here is a layout I created for the "I Challenge Thee" challenge.  I was challenged by Dolores, aka Scrappychick to scrap a layout using 2 or more pictures with the journaling prompt of "If I Could..."  Here is the layout I created for that challenge: 

Oh my God!  Guess what momma cat, Sparrow, brought into the house the other night...
So I am sitting at the kitchen table working on the laptop and can hear the cat playing with something in the other room.  Jasmine (our dog) is freaking out and keeps running up to me and then to where Sparrow is.  Almost as if to say, "Mom, you HAVE to come see what the cat brought in!"  So I finally get up to see what it is and this is what I found...

 

YES, that is a FREAKIN' bat that she brought INTO my house!!!

and in OTHER EXCITING news...The new prompt is up on the Gutter Girlz Blog!!!  I am so excited about the participation we received with our first prompt and looking forward to the creations that come forth from the 2nd prompt!  Come get creative in the gutter with us!!!

Whew!  This working full time is tiring and I think a bit tougher with the kids out of school for the summer.  Summer school started for me this week so it was off to two jobs daily for me!

Last week we had friends and family over to celebrate Ryan's graduation.  It was a great crowd at the house and we had a great time visiting with all our friends and relatives!  Special thanks to Kat and Kammie for helping out and for cooking the Lumpia and cupcakes!

This weekend is the cyber crop at TallyScrappers so you know where I will be!!  I plan to get my Scrap on!

{Happy Father's Day}

Since mark had to work today, the boys took him out to In-N-Out for lunch yesterday and then to the mall for a new pair of sunglasses!

Thanks Mark for not only being an awesome dad to the boys but for also being their hero!

{Friday the 13th!}

Last night we celebrated Ryan's graduation from high school!  I swear this snook right up on me!  I haven't even sent out the announcements yet...perhaps I thought that would delay the inevitable.  So if you think I forgot to send you one, I most likely did not, it is still on the way AND if you are int he area and want to attend our celebration BBQ next Sunday the 22nd at 3pm, please feel free to stop on by!!

Since mom needed an interpreter for the ceremony, we ended up with some great seats which allowed me to take some great shots of the ceremony!  After the graduation and picture taking we went out to dinner at the Claim Jumper then headed to Grad Night.  It was a lot of fun for the kids and Mark and I worked there until 3am!  I am so glad the school sponsors this type of celebration for the kids to enjoy.  It seemed as though all there had a great time!  Ryan came home at 5:30 am and headed straight to bed.   

After a few hours of sleep I headed to Starbucks to meet up with a Tally Gal, Katie and her sister, Karen.  Katie was visiting from Wisconsin and she is one cool chick!!  So glad we finally got to meet up! :::picture to come:::

Yesterday morning Erik went with me while I got my hair done and decided to give Vicki free-rein on his hair with the idea that his hair grows fast and if he didn't like the new cut, he would just grow it back.  Hopefully this will help in the job search as well.  Speaking of job search, I decided that until Erik gets a job, he works for me and I plan to have daily projects for him to complete while I am at work!

Last Tuesday night we attended Scholarship night at the high school.  Ryan was invited but had no idea who the scholarship was from or what amount it was worth.  He came to find out it was from the high school Soccer Booster club and presented to him by one of his coaches, Matt Stratton in the amount of $250.  Matt said some great things about him and Ryan accepted the scholarship with a big smile and a hug!

{happenings}

All kinds of things, I mean, what isn't happening right now!

Graduation is right around the corner, this Friday the 13th in fact!  After the ceremony,  Ryan will attend Grad night where both Mark and I will also be working.  A graduation party is in the works for Sunday, June 22nd!

Today is Erik's one month anniversary with his girlfriend and he is currently pacing the floor awaiting her arrival.  They have plans for Erik to cook for her then to go watch Kung-Fu Panda!  Oh she just arrived and I snapped some quick pictures of them!  They're so cute!! 

Last night we went to Baird's surprise party planned and thrown by the hostess with the mostess, Kammie!  That girl knows how to throw a party.  We had a private suite where we got to watch Baird throw out the first pitchand say "Play Ball" as well as watching the actual baseball game.  It was a fun night share with some good friends!     

 

I finished my Summer banner for the Summer Banner swap hosted by none other than, Rachel! 

Also getting together some things for Gutter Girlz!  Look for this real and raw challenge blog to launch on June 15th!  I love the group of Gutter Girlz I have the honor of creating, skeeming, and chatting with!

Work is going well.  I am liking the new job, it can be very interesting!  The drive isn't too bad especially with the new car and the gadgets so I can listen to the iPod, Sirius radio, or make a phone call all at the touch of a button!

Thank you for asking about my missing kitties!  Neither Gibbs nor Z.Z. have returned.  I have a feeling Z.Z. went looking for his brother and best friend.  We miss them both dearly!

Looking forward to SUMMER TIME!!!  Woo Hoo!

Guess what I have sitting on my scrap table right now!  The June TallyScrapper kit!!  It is Rock n' Roll with all kinds of yummy goodness all in one large ziploc bag!  And in route to my house is the July kit for the ScrapRoom, four HOTTT (with 3 t's) mini kits all in one package!  Can't wait!  Okay off to get my Scrap On!!

Been busy with training at the new job.  I like it so far.  Although I am doing the same thing each time I go in, each call is new and I learn something new with each one.

My dear Z.Z. is now missing and has been missing since Wednesday.   I'm so BUMMED!

We went and watched Cayla play catcher in her Softball All Star tournament.  They came back in the last inning but ended up losing 2 - 3.  Cayla is a natural behind the plate and I look forward to her growing as a player.  After the game we all went out to dinner and had a nice time.

Hope to get some scrapping in since it is Crop weekend at TallyScrappers!  Also wrapping up grades and need to get those posted soon.  Sleeping in on Sunday for sure!  Enjoy your weekend!

Look at Jack and Capt. Tippy!  Tippy had a birthday party yesterday and you can see him in party mode on Sandy's BLOG.  Jack makes appearances on Kat's BLOG!

Gibbs and ZZ both turned 1 yesterday as well.  We are still missing Gibbs.  ZZ had a mellow day with treats and cat naps.  The 2 other kittens are both named Callie.  I heard from one of the owners that she is doing well, is petite and very sweet.  I hope to hear about the other Callie as well.
