Yes, I know I live in the desert but man, it was HOT today!! Driving around this afternoon it was 110* at 3:30pm!! I had turned the solar heater to the pool off and it as still reading 90* today!! Tonight when I went to pick Erik up at 8pm, it was still hot at 88*!! This is when indoor activities are a must with the AC on!
Down that brings up another issue. We have 2 AC systems, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The one downstairs went out a few weeks back and I figured why fix it now when the repair guys are going to charge top dollar. It isn't that bad, besides we all hang in the game room upstairs most of the time anyhow. But now I'm thinking, maybe we should have taken care of that a couple weeks ago because top dollar repairs are going to be now!
I even got an email from work about the AC being out in a couple of the buildings, one being where my morning class is. If it is unbearable in there tomorrow morning we will have early release, it is already bad when the AC is supposedly working. When working we have 2 modes, either warm or hot!!
Well, the news says it is going to be hotter!! Not sure how much hotter I can handle! At least we will be in O'side Saturday, back in the old 'hood for a luau! It has got to be cooler on the coast, right!! Can't forget that with it being Labor Day weekend, means awesome sale at the scrapbook store!! May have to detour over there!!
No other plans for the 3-day weekend. Probably swim, clean, scrap, and nap!! Hee hee, had to throw nap in there because it rhymes, but it will happen, at least on Mark's part!
A chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face. The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and says, "Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question!"
Not even sure where to start. First day of work has come and gone. What is it about the first day of school? I'm so glad it is over!
Here are my past "daily something" photos First is a peek at a project I was working on
On Sunday Bre came over with her family. This is Alex! he is getting so big!
Here is ZZ and Gibbs who both decided they needed to hang out in the trash can under my scrap table. Are they not they cutest!!
and then today's "daily something" back to school for the fall semester.
Here is a sneak peek at the September The ScrapRoom kit! Everything but the alphabets is from the 7 Gypsies portion of the kit:
If you are a youngster, the titling comes from the Crosby, Stills & Nash song called "Our House" I did change "2 cats in the yard" to "2 kids in the yard". Here is the song is you would like to hear it.
The other night Ryan and Mark attended the media night for the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. It was a very nice night of networking and smoozing! Ryan even met a couple that is hooking him up with a tux for the red carpet premiere night!
Here are a couple more "daily something" photos: Thursday's dentist visit, you know the 6 month cleaning! I am all polished now! and Friday's toes in the pool before jumping in! Love the rippled water effect! The pool is 86 degrees and the air has been in the 100's!
The whole idea is paying it forward, just like the movie Pay it Forward. Only we are doing this scrapping style.
What happens is the first 3 people to comment to this thread will receive a RAK from me of a handmade item. It could be anything that I make for you. Then you promise to blog about it too and then do the same thing to the first 3 people that leave a message for you and so on and so on.
I would really love to see this go a long way.
So who is going to be the first 3 to leave me a message. If you are one of those 3 please email me your address and I will mail you something real soon.
That is what we call happy mail! Received my Order from Tally Scrapperstoday! Loving all the new CHA release lines. This order had Scenic Route and Daisy D's along with some other goodies!
Also, went with Cindy out to visit Kat and her scrapbook store and picked up a few items!! Love these thick transparency borders from My Mind's Eye! Now to decide which picture to use for my "daily something" layout... any suggestions?
