I'll start with today's "Wild Words" quote from English poet Dame Edith Sitwell, "My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music, and silence."
Been having fun getting creative! Lots of fun challenges and projects in the works some just for me and some design team work. My current favorite right now is an Art Journal inspired by Rachel and others at TallyScrapper. I started with an old children's Little Golden Book. I cut the spine off and punched holes with my crop-a-dile. I intended to keep the cover mostly original and just stain it with a bit of color but when the stain ruined the cover I opted for plan B. Paint over the sucker! I think the result of plan B is much better than the plan A I had in my head.
Our first prompt for the Art Journal was to document our "one little word". This year I chose ACHIEVE. I love how the page was illustrated with Mr. Rogers' hands extended!

I also plan to incorporate the prompts from Emily's blog into my Art journal!

Finished some other layouts as well but not able to share them at this time.
Tonight was the first soccer game of league. It was a hard fought match between our cross town rivals. The game ended in a 2 - 2 tie with the other team scoring to tie it up on a controversial NON-offsides call where the player was clearly offsides. This happened with less than 5 minutes of play left. Oh well...some refs are great and some really affect the outcome of a game. However, it was a fun and exciting game in which Ryan and his friend Adam scored goals!! Next game, Thursday afternoon!
